The Course of Veterinary Medicine, University of Uberaba aims to train professionals to activities of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of animal diseases, animal production, public health, education, research and extension.

The egress of the Course of Veterinary Medicine is a professional and prepared to meet regional needs in all sectors of modern life, enabled the full exercise of clinical medicine, animal surgery, laboratory and clinical veterinarian, in all its forms; planning and implementation of animal health protection, and technical assistance to animals in any form, to ensure individual and collective health of these animals, planning, administration of estates, creation, production, selection and feeding of domestic animals in all its aspects, standardization, classification, inspection and surveillance point of view of health, hygiene and technology for all products and animal by-products, production sites, handling, processing, storage, distribution and marketing, to improve standards power of the population and make the control of zoonoses, evaluation and expert on animals for administrative credit insurance, and products derived from litigation and skills, tests and surveys reveal fraud involving animals, direction, supervision and control establishments and industries of animal products, animal feed, breeding services, artificial insemination and embryo transfer, as well as exhibition-purpose recreational, sports or animal protection, management, teaching, research and extension in research institutions , schools and hospitals in veterinary medicine and agriculture, and higher education.
