The labor market is large and offers job opportunities in agricultural areas, public health, medicine for pets, wildlife and production. In Brazil, 46% of veterinarians in private acts, 45% in the public sector and 9% in joint activities (public and private).
With the investment of federal, state and municipal areas of health, agriculture and environment, many places have been opened through public tenders.
In private, both in medicine for pets in urban areas, as large animals in rural areas has shown rewarding under the financial point of view. In regions of greater purchasing power, in specialties such as cardiology, ophthalmology, endocrinology, dentistry, homeopathy, among others, have proved quite rewarding.
In the manufacturing animal foods, feeds, medicines and veterinary products in both the formulation and processing, promotion and sale, the veterinarian has a good field of work.
In agriculture, with Brazil being the 1st largest exporter of beef in the world, there is a chance to work highly attractive. Farming is a major component of Brazil's GDP, and the international market has not shown increasing demands for productivity and health of livestock, opening more space for the work of the veterinarian.
In the environmental area, the requirements for the implementation of projects and the large number of interventions in ecosystems led development policies, have sued the veterinarian's work of rescuing wildlife, environmental and consulting expertise, as well as work programs for the conservation of biodiversity especially wildlife.
