The concept of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in the short term strategy is defined by socio-economic development of the Voronezh State Agricultural universities theta behalf KD Glinka.
Activities of the Faculty, as a structural unit of the University, is based on the Constitution, Laws "On Education", "On higher post-graduate professional education", a Model of an educational institution VPO Russia, the Charter of the University of VPO VSAU, local regulations governing the training, scientific, economic activities and relevant Acting on legislation of RF.
Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has trained students in the specialty - 111201 "Veterinary medicine" with specializations:
• Diseases of unproductive and exotic animals
• Veterinary doctor - an obstetrician-gynecologist
• veterinary surgeon - veterinary and sanitary expert
• veterinary surgeon - a surgeon
• Veterinary doctor - physician-pharmacist
• Veterinary doctor - epizootology bacteriologist
On January 1, 2009 enrollment of full-time amounted to 602 people. Training in 8 specialties are 26 graduate students, one full-time and 8 full-time tuition.
At the 6 chairs MRF from the outer part-works 48 faculty members. Proportion of teachers with academic degrees and titles in the total number of teaching staff is 89%, and doctors and professors - 25%.
Material base of faculty includes educational building, vivarium, zootomikum, Anatomical Museum, X-ray, interdepartmental laboratory zoovettsentr, a student dormitory.
The faculty is working to implement the quality management system STVA.
