The oldest of the Agricultural Faculty of the University, which occupies a leading position in terms of scientific and technical capacity and professional competence of teachers, logistical and methodological support of teaching and learning process.

Graduates of our department in demand in the agricultural enterprises, the processing complexes, health care facilities (stations to combat animal diseases, veterinary hospitals, vetuchastki, laboratories, etc.), various branches and departments (trade, customs, structures of the Ministry of Defense, light and food industries, etc.). Specialists who have graduated from our department, are working not only in Russia but also in neighboring countries and abroad.
Education of students is based on the complex, which includes: veterinary clinics, educational and laboratory buildings, branches of departments, advanced farming area. Material and technical base is expanding every year, adding to the new equipment, and complexity, only the last three years set up certified laboratories for analysis of feed quality; microbiology with the possibility of polymerase chain reaction, allowing for lessons at a high level of scientific methodology.
On the campus is located nine-storey dormitory, library, dining room, cafe, sports complex, reading rooms with access to the Internet, running student theater. Departments - an education, research and production, technological, diagnostic and treatment center FGOU VPO "Orenburg SAU", which has a direct link with agricultural production.
