The faculty organized in 1938. Currently, four departments of the faculty work 1 academician, 7 professors and doctors of science, 22 associate professors and candidates of science.

The Faculty has a well-equipped classrooms for laboratory and practical classes and research, 5 museums: the biological, anatomical, histological, patalogoanatomicheskim and parasitology, as well as vetklinikoy based Uchkhoz Academy.

Departments of Veterinary Medicine have branches in many parts of the republic, in processing plants and research institutes, which are used as manufacturing and clinical base for training students.

During the years of existence produced more than 3000 highly skilled professionals - veterinarians.

The Faculty has postgraduate studies in 6 specialties of the two branches of science (veterinary and biological), which trained 14 graduate students. 23 graduate faculty are doctors, including one academician, more than 40 - Candidate of Science, working in universities, research institutes and other institutions of the RF and RD.
