The 31st of December 2009 marks the end of an era with Dr Lars Holsaae's last day as WVA Executive Secretary General.
Dr Tjeerd Jorna, President WVA, closed the year by acknowledging the final day of Lars Holsaae as Executive Secretary General of WVA. He said that Lars had served the WVA for more than 15 years with knowledge,skills and experience to fulfil this function,but most of all his dedication to WVA is greatly appreciated.
Dr Jorna said that Lars had served the WVA through five full presidential terms: Blackburn, Rantsios, Edwards, Schneider and Russell. He said that the secretariat with Lars Holsaae as the leader was the foundation of the continuation of WVA. He had always performed his role in good cooperation with Birgitte Sorensen. Together they created a strong Secretariat.
President Jorna thanked Lars Holsaae very much for all his efforts and dedication to the WVA. An official good-bye is being scheduled during 2010.
