The Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program will cover the full range of species and disciplines of veterinary medical education. However, in addition to this core, the program will focus on areas important to Alberta and Western Canada. The University of Calgary DVM program will employ a unique curriculum and will deliver the clinical elements of the program through a Distributed Veterinary Teaching Hospital, engaging practicing veterinarians in the education process. Major portions of the program will be delivered at the Health Sciences Centre and in a newly constructed Clinical Skills Building in north-west Calgary (Spyhill area).
