Vets Care Club Pakistan

Vets Care Club has declared 25th of April as Free Treatment Day at UVAS. We will be setting up a camp at the outdoor hospital of the university and will provide free treatment and medicines to all animals coming to the out door on Saturday through out day. A massive awareness campaign including banners, posters and pamphlets will be displayed at the campus.

On Monday (27th April), a seminar is also being arranged in university in collaborations with Pakistan Medical Society focussing on zoonosis and public health issues. This was to be on 25th. But unfortunately the day has co-incided with International DNA Day, which is on 25th. Some other universities are holding joint event at our university's department of Molecular Biology and Cytogenetics. So, the faculty would be busy over there. That's why the seminar has been shifted to Monday.

As the theme of this year's WVD is "Veterinarians and Livestock Farmers - a winning partnership", we will organise a field day next month in which we will gather large number of farmers in a village and will deliver lectres on animal health, management, etc... in local language. Further we will also provide free treatment to animals in that village. We would have arranged it now but could not because these days in Punjab, wheat harvesting is on process and farmers are quite busy in it till mid May. So, we will set up next month inshAllah. This will help establishing better linkages between veterinarians and livestock farmers.
