The Congress and Pre-Congress seminars will be held at the Bologna Fiere Congress Centre. The Pre-Congress wetlabs will be held at the Veterinary School\, University of Bologna.The Congress and Pre-Congress seminars will be held at the Bologna Fiere Congress Centre. The wetlabs include small and large animal topics\, ranging from a stem cell &\; PRP workshop to locking plate wetlabs. Subjects for the Pre-Congress seminars include arthroscopy\, osteoarthritis and sports medicine.
In the Congress\, there will be parallel large and small animal programmes with combined State of the Art Lectures.
Three main halls with additional smaller rooms will be employed from Thursday afternoon until Saturday evening with topics ranging from minimally invasive surgery to facial trauma\, evidence based medicine to elbow replacement etc.\, while the large animal programme includes sessions on advanced imaging\, biologic therapeutics\, lameness diagnosis &\; treatment\, and joint rehabilitation.

The central theme of the 10th International Conference on goats will be “Technological development and associative attempts to a sustainable small livestock production”.
The program will include symposiums\, lectures\, forums and debates with scientists\, technicians\, politicians and breeders. There will be 30 presentations with national and international guests\, where\, during a three-day period\, the problems and solutions concerning the national and worldwide development of the goat production sector will be discussed.
The Internation Conference on Goats is sponsored by the International Goat Association\, a non profit association whose mission is to promote goat research and development for the benefit of humankind\, improving the quality of life of people in the world.

This year’s BVA Congress provides an outstanding programme combining both political and CPD sessions. Organised by the BVA with contributions from Scottish institutions such as Glasgow and Edinburgh Universities\, the Moredun and the Scottish Agricultural College\, the programme will be complemented by fun social events and a comprehensive trade exhibition.
The main theme ‘Vets and the public good’ focuses on the contribution of the veterinary profession to the whole of society.
As well as a wide range of clinical CPD this year’s Congress also features non-clinical CPD in the management and communication fields.

The European Commission will hold on 1-2 October the first International Conference on Animal Welfare Education in collaboration with the Belgian Presidency. As part of the event’s Steering Committee\, FVE actively participates in the organisation of the conference\, of which the key message will be\: “everybody is responsible”.
International organisations with experience in animal welfare education are invited to participate as exhibitors on the second day of the Conference. Interested organisations must be involved in projects implemented on an international level\, be running for at least one year and bring high-quality and science-based materials.

It is our great pleasure to cordially invite you to the 2nd World Health Summit on October 10-13\, 2010 in Berlin and to provide you today with the 1st Announcement\, that can be downloaded from the summit website\: Download 1st Announcement.
Under the patronage of Chancellor Angela Merkel and President Nicolas Sarkozy\, the World Health Summit 2009\, held last October\, was a great success and has created an overwhelmingly positive response by the many high-profile participants and in the media.
We are very happy to continue this tradition and to again bring together outstanding scientists\, leading government officials\, and high-level representatives from civil society and the health industry. A core and essential function of the World Health Summit is to establish a forum to discuss the most pressing challenges that medicine and global health will face over the next decade and beyond. The Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin is very proud to be the host of this initiative\, coinciding with the 300th anniversary of this institution.
All delegates at this conference are active participants and will contribute to the discussions and working sessions of the Summit and thus contribute to the process of shaping the health sector in the 21st Century. We are convinced that you will provide valuable contributions and we hope that you can join us. The World Health Summit envisioned being the future strategic forum concerning medical innovation and health care from a global perspective.
