Following 2009's very successful congress, BEVA Congress 2010 is returning to Birmingham. BEVA's Annual Congress promises to offer some fascinating information, discussions and practical advice, with an emphasis on comparative medicine and surgery, under the inspiring title of "The Art and Science of Veterinary Medicine".

This year, the three-day Congress will offer five simultaneous halls of presentations, grouped according to subject matter and level, from nursing, via practitioner workshops, panel discussions and core skills, up to in-depth exploration of particular topics and State of the Art presentations. Within some particular subject areas, the presentations will aim at successively increasing levels of expertise throughout the day. Furthermore, in some key areas, specialist speakers from the field of human medicine have been invited to address delegates, which will make for very stimulating and thought-provoking presentations.

Scientific Programme
This Scientific Programme for the 2010 BEVA Annual Congress promises to be both very educational and extremely interesting. Please click here to download a detailed overview of the scientific programme.

Careers Evening
The purpose of the Careers Evening is to provide ample networking opportunities in a relaxed, social environment. It is an excellent opportunity for students and recent graduates to ask about existing job opportunities within exhibiting practices but also to find out what employers are looking for and to discuss the ups and downs of the first job. The evening is also an ideal opportunity for interns and residents to explore their next career move.

Those who would like to express interest and receive information please contact Nadine. This year it is also hoped that we will be able to follow the Careers Evening with a social event combining elements of the Careers Evening and BEVA’s “pub meets” where those with greater experience could pass on their knowledge to those entering the profession, whilst recent graduates and students could make suggestions to help ease the transition from university to work place.
