In association with The Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust

Venue: Ocean Bay Hotel, Bakau, Gambia (optional extension to Sambel Kunda, Gambia)
Cost: Registration fee to cover administration - overseas delegates £50 (students £25)

Influential experts in the field will gather in The Gambia for the first Pan-African conference on working equines. Speakers and delegates from Gambia, Mali, Mauretania, Ethiopia, South Africa, Morocco and Sudan will be present for this unique learning opportunity.

The conference programme consists of presentations and discussions with two central themes of management and prevention. The two-day seminar is followed by an optional extension to the GHDT base where a further day and a half of practical demonstrations will enable delegates to see some of the theory put into practice.

This seminar will be of interest to organisations and people working with traction and pack animals and also to students and newly qualified professionals who would like the opportunity to work in developing countries for the welfare of animals and the benefit of the owners dependent on them.

There will also be poster sessions: if you would like to submit an abstract for a poster please contact TAWS.
